In case you missed our Facebook post from last week, we have started picking the most incredible heads of broccoli we've possibly ever grown here at Bryndlewood.
The crowns are massive and the stalks are sweet and VERY edible. We have found that using the stalks run through a spiralizer and mixed into fresh salads or in a slaw adds an entirely new sweet flavor.
Another new veggie that is starting to ripen this week is cucumbers! One of our favorite grab and go snacks while on the farm has to be a fresh, crisp cucumber. You can find both broccoli & cucumbers in this weeks Farm Box!

On the plant side of things, our Strawberry Baskets are finally sizing up and putting on fruit! These are the biggest hit all summer long with friends and family. We go out and pick strawberries almost every single morning. They have beautiful showy blooms and delicious fruit. It's a great way to start the day. We tested it out last year and mulched our pots along side our perennial flowers and they did indeed come back this spring. You can enjoy these strawberries year after year!
